COMMUNITY FOREST, CHILLIWACK, BRITISH COLUMBIA

In partnership with the City of Chilliwack the volunteers of the Chilliwack Park Society have converted an underutilized City owned 130 acre forest into a multi use community park.  Our kids have had an empowering time volunteering with this group. It is fun to watch them run through the trails and reminisce about the parts they helped build! This park includes a parking lot, picnic facilities, an outhouse and a multi use trail system for hiking, biking and running.

The trail system is perfect for families, beginner hikers, mountain bikers of all experience levels and now with our new trail, to Gloria lookout it is great for hikers looking for a bigger challenge to. There are trail loops starting at just 1.5 km and many longer trails as well.

Distance: 1.5km up to 11km depending on your trail choice.

Elevation gain: Pitzel, the easiest trail is just a gentle 5% grade and other trails are marked with signs according to their difficultly.

Difficulty: Regardless of your age, fitness or skill level, there is something for you to enjoy in the Community Forest!

Directions:

From Hwy 1 take the Annis Rd exist and continue straight onto Hack Brown Rd towards Unity School. At the first Y turn right onto Nixon Rd, then at the second Y turn left onto Allan Rd. From here there are signs leading to the Community Forest. It is located near the end of Allan Rd on your right.
